CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Scientific Committee invites researches and surgical pathologists to submit Abstracts for Poster Presentations for consideration and inclusion in the Scientific Program of the Congress. Please be sure that you follow all detailed instructions described below.

General information 

  • The Abstracts should be submitted up to by May 31th, 2010.
  • All Abstracts must be submitted only via on-line form to the Scientific Secretariat. Mailing and faxes copies will not be accepted.
  • The Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Selected abstracts will be presented as Poster presentations. Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation will receive notification and information regarding their presentation, by e-mail by June 30th, 2010.
  • Posters will be divided into sessions and displayed in a large area at the Congress centre.
  • Proof carefully before submitting the abstract. No changes will be possible after submission.

  • All abstracts accepted by the Scientific Committee will be published in a Journal.

 Instructions for the Authors

  • Abstracts will be accepted under the condition that the Presenting Author will be registered to the Congress. In case of non-acceptance or if the author decides to withdraw his/her participation, the registration fees will be refunded. Requests for refunds should be addressed to the Congress Secretariat until June 16th, 2010.
  • The abstracts will be divided in two main categories: scientific communications or case reports. Both categories will be divided in 26 specialities according the list included below. Please indicate the Topic of your abstract.

    Scientific Communication and Case Reports must contain:

  • Scientific Communication: Introduction / Objectives, Material and Methods: Results / Conclusions.
  • Case Reports: Introduction / justification; Case Report (relevant clinical data, pathological data relevant - macro, micro, immuno, etc.); conclusions.

                
Instructions for submission

  • The on-line registration system will take you step by step through the submission of your abstract. Please note that you will not be able to edit your abstract, once it has been submitted. So, to avoid mistakes we strongly advice the authors type the text on your word processor and then copy it to the web site or e-mail.

  • The fonts should be at least 10 point, Times New Roman or Arial. Single space all typing. Do not leave blank lines.

  • Use standard abbreviations. Place a special or unusual abbreviation in parenthesis after the full word the first time it appears.

You will need to inform: Name, e-mail address and mail address: of the first author (the same of presenting author), to whom the confirmation and further correspondence will be sent. The confirmation of acceptance or rejection will be send my e-mail and the author will be able to review the data on the web.
Institution, city and country of the author(s).
List all co-authors by surname, initials, Institute name, city and Country.

Abstract title: capitalise the first letter and proper nouns only. The title (including spaces) cannot be longer than 250 characters. Please note that abstracts titles with more than 250 characters as indicated will not consider for revision.

Text of the Abstract: the text must be no longer than 1800 characters. You can add your e-mail address and grant funding agency at the end of the abstract for publication, if you wish. Do not use HTML codes and "end of lines" as the text will wrap automatically.

Poster Presentations

Posters will be gathered, numbered and listed according to the Scientific Committee's instructions.
Posters will be affixed, discussed and removed on the dates and at the times, that will be communicated to authors.
Posters Size: Maximum width: 90 cm, Maximum Height 150 cm. Only scotch tape and self-adhesive pads are allowed.
