The XXVIII IAP International Congress is now coming soon (October 11-15, 2010). It will be held in the Transamerica Hotel Convention Center, São Paulo city.

The Brazilian Division of the IAP and the Brazilian Society of Pathology are proud to have won the honour of hosting the Congress and warmly invite you to attend it.

The field of Pathology continues to witness impressive advances in understanding the pathogenesis of the diseases, with the contribution of molecular pathology which has revolutionized the classic morphological approach to both General and Systemic Pathology. We are now witnessing the era of personalized medicine, with therapy based on molecular, specific targets.

The Scientific Program Committee has put together an exciting program that will cover the full range of interest of human pathologists and have also included sessions on veterinary pathology. There will be sessions on 26 subspecialties in addition to the 4 key-notes lectures and 4 plenary sessions on subjects of interest of all, both academic and surgical pathologists. More than 450 outstanding pathologists from all over the world have already confirmed presence as speakers.

Delegates and accompanying guests will enjoy a full social program that will introduce them to the unique Brazilian environment and lifestyle and there will be numerous opportunities for tourism before and after the Congress, which we hope to be a memorable event.
